Shipping Update

We're continuing to ship Marksmith UltraFines into April. Two-thirds of the orders have shipped so far, so we are in the final stretch and working to ship out all orders by mid-April. After the initial batch was shipped, we were waiting for additional materials to arrive at the end of February, but those got delayed by a month, so we received them at the end of March instead.
We're printing labels in large batches, so when you get a tracking number email, it will take a few days for it to update.
If you haven't received a tracking email, your order hasn't shipped yet, but it will soon. Please wait for the tracking email, and thank your for your continued patience.
We are working hard and looking forward to getting these out to you so we can launch our next Kickstarter project (which you'll love). We can't launch the new one until we're done shipping this one.

Backerkit Surveys Last Call

Thanks to everyone who has already filled out their Backerkit Shipping Surveys! There are about 150 backers that haven't yet filled out the shipping survey, please get that done asap if you want yours asap.

I will be locking down the completed Backerkit Shipping Surveys this week (starting Tuesday Feb 4th), and begin processing them. We will start printing large batches of labels much earlier than when we actually ship, while we're finishing production and staging the shipping. That means it could take up to 2 weeks before your order ships after the label is created. During that time, your tracking will show "Label created, waiting for acceptance by carrier". It doesn't mean that your pakage is lost, it means that we are still working on shipping out orders.
Backerkit surveys can still be filled out after Tuesday Feb 4th, but you'll be at the end of the shipping queue.

Many of you have asked if you can add on more MARKSMITH ULTRAFINE Ti markers, refills, or the OG MARKSMITH FINE. Yes, they are all available in the Backerkit survey checkout.
CUSTOM ENGRAVINGS
You can add a custom engraving to your MARKSMITH ULTRAFINE Ti. Select the "Custom Laser Engraving on MARKSMITH ULTRAFINE Permanent Marker Body" option (top right item in the image below), and then it will ask for what you want to be engraved in the next step.
If you missed anything, you can still go back and edit your order to add on more items for the next few days until we lock them down.

Hello Each And Everyone,
After shipping the In Time For The Holidays pledge levels, we continued shipping the remainder of the Marksmith UltraFine that we had already made and have shipped 258 of 1001 orders.
The production for the remaining Marksmith UltraFine is almost complete and we will start shipping those in mid-February.
The surveys will be emailed out tomorrow, Jan 28th. Keep an eye out for an email from Backerkit.

Thanks to everyone for making the MARKSMITH ULTRAFINE Ti a success! I appreciate you all. If your pledge was properly processed, skip this next section. There are currently 68 backers with errored pledges who will miss out on their Marksmith if the payment method isn't updated/fixed. I wish I could send an update only to those backers, but there's no option, so here it goes.
How to Fix Errored Pledges
Something went wrong with your payment for the MARKSMITH ULTRAFINE Ti Kickstarter, and this is the final day to fix it if you want to receive it. The credit card on file with Kickstarter could not be processed. Please log back into Kickstarter to replace the card or retry the payment. You will likely need to contact your credit card company to OK the charge or use a different payment method.

Log in to Kickstarter and click the “Fix payment” button in the banner at the top of your screen. This will guide you through the process of changing or retrying your payment method.
It may not necessarily be the case that there’s a specific issue with your card, so much as that you’ll need to ask your bank why this charge in particular is being declined. You may also want to include the details of this transaction, such as:
- The charge being from Kickstarter.
- The amount pledged for the project.
- The date when Kickstarter attempted to collect your pledge. This was the date that the project you backed ended. If the project hasn't ended yet, you can use the date you attempted to pledge.
- Additionally, it may be helpful to request that your bank “whitelist” any charges from Kickstarter.
Once you’ve contacted your bank, feel free to log in to the Kickstarter account from which you pledged and click the “Fix Payment” button in the “Important Notifications” banner.
Please send a message if you have any further issues.
If paying through Kickstarter fails, you can always recover your order and pay through Backerkit.
PRODUCTION, BACKERKIT SURVEYS, SHIPPING
Backerkit surveys have been sent out to the "In Time For The Holidays" pledge level only so far, and we begin shipping those on Monday.
The Backerkit surveys for the other pledge levels will be sent out at the end of January or the beginning of February when we are ready to ship the second batch. We are waiting for those surveys to ensure we have the most up-to-date shipping info.
During the Kickstarter, we started making the next batch of Marksmith UltraFine Ti, which should be completed in Jan/Feb and we'll begin shipping in February.
